Pressure Test

Most watches are water-resistant, however no watch is truly waterproof. A water-resistant watch has gaskets that help protect the case against average water pressure at a stated pressure or depth. Your watch should be pressure tested every time the case is opened to perform any inspection or service to test for potential leaks and its ability to maintain the manufacturer’s original pressure standards. If you are concerned about the water resistance of your watch, you should have it pressure tested before diving or otherwise submersing it. When Govberg Watch Repair pressure tests your watch, our experts will:

  • Remove the case backing of your watch and inspect all gaskets
  • Replace worn or damaged gaskets with genuine parts from if necessary
  • Install new gaskets and refit the case backing onto the watch if necessary
  • Test the watch with state-of-the-art “dry” testing, and/or “wet” testing

The Govberg Watch Repair center will ensure that your watch’s performance and water/moisture resistance is restored to its original factory specifications.

I was extremely pleased with the work you performed on my Rolex - it looks as good as it did in 1972 when I purchased it - and for the first time it keeps time the way I always expected it to.

I had the battery of my Raymond Weil watch changed in one of the repair shops here in the city of Turlock, CA. It worked for only two days and then it just quit. I did my research online to have my watch repaired by an expert of the brand and that’s where I learned about Govberg Watch Repair. My watch is functioning perfectly and I can say that they really did a great job. I would highly recommend Govberg Watch Repair to anyone with any brand of watch. Thank you very much!
Lucy - Turlock, CA

I could not be more pleased with your service. Although 15 years old, the watch appears brand new and keeps time perfectly. When it was returned some 3 weeks ago, I adjusted the second hand to coincide exactly with World-Time. As of this morning it is holding true to the second. Thank you for your wonderful service.
Joe M. - Bluffton, SC
