Pocket Watch Repair

pocket2Govberg Watch Repair employs certified watchmakers who have been highly trained to service, repair, and restore your vintage & antique pocket watches. In addition to mechanical repair services which include complete overhauls (in which your entire pocket watch’s movement is inspected and tested) and more, our repair center provides professional pocket watch refinishing services. When you opt to have your pocket watch cleaned and polished, the case is disassembled to protect the movement from polishing compounds, and the entire case is then lapped and polished to restore the original factory finish. This also entails an ultrasonic cleaning of the pocket watch case using special cleaning agents. When finished, the pocket watch is reassembled and tested. Lastly, the watch will be given a time test to ensure its accuracy.

Parts for Vintage pocket watches are typically no longer available for purchase and must be handmade by our expert watch repair techncians.  For this reason, customers should expect that pocket watch restorations will cost at least $500 if replacement movement parts are needed. We will provide a firm price quote once your pocket watch is received and examined.

About the repair
Brett and team- Wow! You guys have done a fantastic job on the repair of my Rolex. That watch was in a safe deposit box for 15 years before I was able to get hold of it from family and, as you guys know, not in very good shape. It took me about 2 years to find someone that would work on an early 50's model and when I first did find someone the repair quote was outrageous. You guys reasonably priced the work and provided several options that helped me get the necessary repairs done but also offered some enhancements that I would not have considered otherwise. I have another vintage Rolex I would like to get reworked and I will absolutely send it to you guys. Needless to say, I will be using you guys for any future watch needs I might have.

I was really hesitant to send my watch away for repair but read reviews about your service and took a chance. I am glad I did! The cost was reasonable, but more than that, I felt you took great care with my watch from beginning to end. Thank you.
